I've loved the previous two books in the series and was really looking forward to Sofia and Killian's story based on their previous appearances. Sofia's past affects her evolving relationship with Killian. On the surface they seem to be going strong until secrets and guilt they are keeping from each threaten their relationship. I think the author does a great job in dealing with such the very emotional subject of rape. Sofia is stronger and braver than she thinks, and Killian helps her realize it. Killian is all kinds of sexy, but is lacking in the communication and feelings department. I would've really liked to get his POV during the story as well. For me, Sofia and Killian were lacking an emotional connection that I got with the previous couples. Killian's family is what actually made the story for me, bumping the rating from 4 to 4.5 stars. I'd love it if they got to have stories of their own in the future.
