I liked the twist that Cooper was involved in the scandal that involved Annabelle's soon to be ex-husband in the previous book of the series - it added an extra layer of complication to their romance. Annabelle's daughters, Sophie and Olivia, are absolutely adorable, and almost steal the spotlight from her and Cooper. It did drag a bit with the Cooper's guilt and Olivia's need for independence, but it was overall an enjoyable read. There isn't a lot of baseball in this book since it takes place during the off-season.
