Review - Beauty and the Boss (Modern Fairytales #1) by Diana Alberts

Beauty and the Boss (Modern Fairytales) - Diane Alberts

Maggie and Benjamin were perfect for each other. They both have reasons for not wanting to get involved emotionally, and Maggie thinks it's best to keep their distance, but Benjamin is determined to have her.  Cute, fun and sexy romance with a fairy tale complete with an evil witch.

Review - Ice Moon (Moon #5) by Lisa Kessler

Ice Moon - Lisa Kessler
Taryn's life has been so lonely because of her gift, that she has developed a reputation of being an ice queen. Her gift can be dangerous and has forced her to keep her distance from everyone, including her son. It was great the way Jared broke down her walls little by little, until she was free to get close to people again. Taryn's son Charlie is so cute and his relationship with Jared made me smile. Nero is back causing trouble and bring out new secrets about the past. I think this might be my favorite of the series so far!

Review - The Best Laid Wedding Plans (Magnolia Brides #1) by Lynnette Austin

The Best Laid Wedding Plans (Magnolia Brides) - Lynnette Austin

Cole and Jenni Beth start off a bit rocky due to their past, but their relationship developed as they worked together on renovating her house and starting her business. I enjoyed this sweet southern romance, good start to a new series. I'm really looking forward to the next book, I'm really hoping it features their friend Beck!

Review - The Wrong Bride (Highland Weddings #1) by Gayle Callen

The Wrong Bride: Highland Weddings - Gayle Callen
Hugh has known about his arranged marriage practically his entire life. When the earl goes back on his work, Hugh takes matters into his own hand by kidnapping his bride. However, Riona is the earl's niece, not his daughter, but no matter how many times Riona tells him, he thinks she is lying to get out of the contract. As it turns out, she happens to his perfect match. I loved that even though it was an arranged marriage, Hugh took his time earning Riona's love and trust over the weeks they spent together. I could actually see them form a real relationship and start to fall in love. Great beginning to a new series, the ending left me anxiously waiting for next book featuring Hugh's sister Maggie!

Review - Play Me (Steel Brothers #2) by Jennifer Probst

Play Me - Jennifer Probst
This is a hot one! Rome and Sloane have some amazing chemistry and he knows exactly what she needs both in and out of the bedroom. Sloane thrives on being in control, but wants a dominating man in the bedroom. Rome knows exactly how far he can push her and gives her what she needs through some light BDSM. One night turns into forever in this quick and sexy read. Can't wait for Rafe's story!

Review - Seized by Love (The Ryders #1) by Melissa Foster

Seized by Love (Love in Bloom: The Ryders, Book 1): Blue Ryder - Melissa Foster
We previously met both Blue and Lizzie, and I was anxiously waiting for their story. Blue is a sweetheart and I loved the way he never gave up on Lizzie, even when he was upset. Lizzie is one of my favorite heroines! Even though she kept her web show a secret, it was great the way she stood up for herself once she started letting people know. The Ryder's are a great bunch, can't wait for them to find their special someones. It seemed a bit spicier that previous Love in Bloom books, but it was still sweet and romantic. Great beginning to a new branch of the Love in Bloom series!

Review - The Duke's Temptation (Men of Circumstance #1) by Addie Jo Ryleigh

The Duke's Temptation (Men of Circumstances Book 1) - Addie Jo Ryleigh
I loved this friends-to-lovers and brother's best friend/best friend little sister's romance. Gabe and Elizabeth have known each other since they were children. She has been in love with him since then and Gabe has been fighting the growing attraction between them. When his daughter comes to live with him, Elizabeth seizes the opportunity to be near him while taking care of Phoebe. It isn't long before he gives into her, but his past prevents him from moving forward. There are lots of tender moments with both Gabe and Elizabeth, and Gabe and his daughter as they form their father/daughter bond that help show the kind of man he really is, not the man he believes himself to be. The threat to his daughter from an unknown source adds a bit of mystery to the romance. Looking forward to the next book!

Review - I Need a Hero (Men in Uniform #0.5)

I Need a Hero: A Men in Uniform Novella - Codi Gary
Amazing beginning to a new series! Oliver is a sexy and determined soldier who doesn't give up on Eva even though it might mean his career in the army is over. Eva is equally determined to not fall for Oliver, but she's no match for his charm - or his canine companion Beast. Cute, fun and sexy, I loved every page and the sneak peek at the next book!

Review - Bearing It All (Highlander's Beloved #3) by Vonnie Davis

A Highlander's Heart - Vonnie Davis
This is the first book of the series that I read and I believe it can be read as a standalone. I loved the humor in this highland shifter romance, which is not something I often run across when reading a paranormal romance. Ronan and Anisa's chemistry is present throughout the entire book and it makes for a sexy read. Magnus/Brother Bear has a fun and mischievous personality that makes him extremely likable as his own character. Great read if you like a hot scot in a kilt and some humor in your paranormal romance!

Montana Hearts: Her Weekend Wrangler - Darlene Panzera

The reluctantly agree to exchange services for a month, but as they spend time together, they slowly begin to build their relationship. Review - Redemption River (Men of Mercy #1) by Lindsay Cross

Redemption River: Men of Mercy, Book 1 - Lindsay Cross, Elle James
I was hooked from the first chapter and could not put it down! Fast paced, steamy romantic suspense with plenty of action in and out of the sheets. As they race against against the clock to save Evie's mom and stop the weapons from getting into to the wrong hands, they explore both their attraction and their feelings. It's heavy on the sex and action and a bit lighter on the romance. Plenty of characters are introduced and I'm looking forward to their stories as well as as how the mission continues.  Reviews for the next two books books will be posted in the next couple of days.

Review - This Love of Mine by Miranda Liasson

This Love of Mine (A Mirror Lake Novel) - Miranda Liasson
Cute, fun and a little sexy - Ben and Meg's story made me smile, sigh, laugh and even brought a tear to my eye. What starts out as a favor between old childhood friends turns into a once in a lifetime love. However, a tragic event in their past makes it hard for Ben to want a relationship, even though he is in love with Meg. Luckily, he figures out what is really important in life. Their relationship is full funny moments that make this a light read. Can be read as a standalone.

Review - The Nine Month Plan by Wendy Markham

The Nine Month Plan - Wendy Markham
This was a cute and sweet romance about two friends who eventually figure out they're in love. It's a bit slow going as they move from best friends to lovers, and as they adjust their lives around the arrival of their child. Joe was a real sweetheart and you could tell he would be a great dad. Nina on the other hand, was already a good mom to her brothers and sisters, but did not think she wanted to be a mother. She struggled a bit through what her head wanted and what her heart wanted. The ending was a bit predictable, but I still really enjoyed the story.

Review - Best Worst Mistake (Brightwater #3) by Lia Riley

Best Worst Mistake: A Brightwater Novel - Lia Riley
I loved the first book, was a bit disappointed with the second, but Best Worst Mistake is right up there withLast First Kiss! After an accident costs him his leg and his career as a smoke jumper, Wilder returns to Brightwater. He's anti-social, grumpy and has given up on finding someone to build a future with. Quinn is his complete opposite. She's sunshine and rainbows even with everything going on in her life and Wilder is instantly attracted to her. She is the only one who doesn't tip toe around him and slowly brings out the softie hiding beneath his tough guy exterior. Their relationship progresses pretty quick and is full of funny, sweet, sexy, romantic and emotional moments. Highly recommended is you like an alpha hero with a marshmallow center! Looking forward to the next book in the series, hopefully it's about Kit and Goldie - can't wait to find out about their history!

Review - A Friendly Engagement by Christine Warner

A Friendly Engagement (Entangled Select Contemporary) (Friends First) - Christine Warner
Omar and Devi's relationship has moved past boss/employee to friendship. She helps him the remember that there is more than just work. So of course, Omar figures that they can pretend to be engaged so that he can try to land a huge account. We all know what comes next - fake romance becomes real. Of course it's not all smooth sailing, but there the drama is not over the top. There are lots of romantic and sexy moments as well as an emotional reunion that I figured right away. Overall a cute, fun and sexy read that left me wanting to read the following books about Omar's brothers.

Review - How Forever Feels (Friends First #1) by Laura Drewry

How Forever Feels (Friends First) - Laura Drewry
Loved it! Jack and Maya are so cute together and they totally deserved to find happiness with each other. I felt so bad for what Maya went through with her ex-husband, Will, but I'm glad she discovered what forever really felt like with Jack. It has not an easy journey with Maya being Jack's best friend's ex-wife and with Jack's sense of obligation to his foster mother, which also happen's to be Will's mom. He has loved Maya since he first met her four years earlier, but stepped aside for Will. Jack is so sweet, but he did frustrate me a bit with the way he always but everyone needs/wants before his own. I loved seeing finally putting his foot down with both Will and his mom, and pursue a relationship with her. Being the fourth book in the series, the friendship between the girls as well as the couples is strong and they feel like a big family. I loved the scenes where they all got together, it added fun feel to story and gave me a chance to catch up with the couples for the previous books. Overall a sweet, romantic and fun friends-to-lovers/second chance romance. I highly recommend you read the entire series!
