Review - For Seven Nights Only (Chase Brothers #2) by Sarah Ballance

For Seven Nights Only (Chase Brothers) - Sarah Ballance
A light, fun and sexy read! Sawyer and Kelsie are entertaining as they try to fight their attraction while he is supposed to be helping her get a date to her sister's wedding. Sawyer has never one to go out with a woman more than once or twice, but he immediately feels possessive towards Kelsie and can't help but get jealous when a guy gets close to her. Pretty soon Kelsie becomes more than a project and the lines begin to blur. Kelsie is aware of Sawyer's reputation and has a hard time believing that Sawyer isn't just feeding her lines. The ending is great as Sawyer proves to Kelsie jsut how much she means to him.

Review - On the Rocks by Kim Law

On the Rocks (A Turtle Island Novel) - Kim Law
Carter and Ginger were childhood friends who drifted apart when they left the island to pursue their dreams. Now he's back in Turtle Island, but he is no longer the person Ginger remembers. He is bitter, angry and stuck in rut. Ginger longs for love and marriage, but her tomboyish ways seem to make it difficult for her. She is the only one who seems to be able to through Carter's walls and soon they are picking up their friendship where they left off, except now there's an attraction that wasn't there before. I really enjoyed Carter and Ginger's relationship as it evolved from friends to lovers, and the way they helped each other deal with the reasons behind their troubles. The humor mixed in with the steamy and emotional scenes help to lighten the mood. Even though it is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I don't think I've ever been disappointed by on of Ms. Law's books, looking forward to the next one!

Review - When We Kiss by Darcy Burke

When We Kiss: Ribbon Ridge Book Five - Darcy Burke
We've seen most of the other Archer siblings deal with the loss of their brother, but for Liam it is much more complicated because Alex was his identical twin. He isn't good at dealing with his feelings and this has affected his relationship with his family as well as his love life. Aubrey is the lawyer who is executing Alex's will and overseeing the land use issue surrounding the property he left to his siblings. She and Liam have been casually seeing each other when he is in town since Alex's death. However she puts and end to things when she realizes that she wants more than what Liam is willing to give her. They find themselves spending time together as friends, but neither can deny not only the attraction, but also the growing feelings between them. These two have great chemistry that leads to some steamy encounters. Another great story in the series, can 't wait for the final one when Hayden comes home.

Review - Surrender My Love by Melissa Foster

Surrender My Love (Love in Bloom: The Bradens) - Melissa Foster
I'm loving the Bradens of Peaceful Harbor! Cole is like the perfect man - kind, loving and protective. I loved the way he and his family embraced Leesa and supported her as she dealt with aftermath of a student's accusation. Their romance happened really quick, but it still felt genuine. I think when you find the right person, there isn't a schedule for you to fall in love. I fell in love with this family when I read Healed by Love, and I can't wait for Sam to have his turn in the next book.

Review - The Earl's Complete Surrender (Secrets at Thorncliff Manor #2) by Sophie Barnes

The Earl's Complete Surrender: Secrets at Thorncliff Manor - Sophie Barnes
Chloe's marriage was such a disaster, that she vows never to risk her heart again. James does not think he is capable of love and because of his has decided not to marry at all. They find that they have much in common as they as they begin to form a friendship that turns into a partnership as they search for the journal. There are some twists and turns surrounding the identities of those who are trying to stop them. It is pretty mild in the heat department, though there are lots of stolen kisses and a non explicit sex scene. I enjoyed James and Chloe's story, but not as much as the first book in the series.

Review - Caught by You (Love Between the Bases #2) by Jennifer Bernard

Caught by You: A Love Between the Bases Novel - Jennifer Bernard
We first met Mike and Donna in All of Me and the sparks between them continue in the second book of the series. Their chemistry is amazing and the humor between them is hilarious. They really are perfect for each other. Mike's heart was broken by his high school sweetheart when he decided to leave the Navy so that he was able to donate a kidney to his older brother. Now playing baseball in the minors, he takes a vow of celibacy at the start of each season as to not get distracted. Donna is trying to regain custody of her son and prevent her ex and his new fiancee from getting full custody - she cannot get involved with Mike, but she cannot deny the attraction she feels towards him. When their PDA gets caught on camera, Mike proposes marriage as a way for their relationship to help Donna with the custody case in case of hurting it. Although reluctant at first, Donna accepts and soon they are both feeling more than sexual chemistry. They encounter some road block on their way to happily ever after, along with some really funny moments between Donna and Mike and some really emotional moments between Mike and his brother. I loved reading this book and look forward to the next Catfish getting caught.

Review - Rebel Love (Dirty Sinners MC #1) by Jodi Linton

Rebel Love (The Dirty Sinners Motorcycle Club) - Jodi Linton
This is not your typical MC romance. For starters, Em is a female president, but don't let her tough exterior fool you, she is really a marshmallow inside. She's made the club legal by getting into the mechanic business and taking down a rival club that she thinks is responsible for her lover's death. Enter Cade into the picture - undercover cop who is looking for dirt on who killed his partner. Even though Em is supposed to be his suspect, he can't help the attraction he feels for her. There are plenty of dirty, sexy scenes as well as some some unexpected twists. It's not as dark as most MC romances, but it is great for contemporary romance lovers who want a little added edginess. I've seen some sneak peaks of the upcoming book featuring a DEA agent and Em's second in command, and it sounds like it will be a sexy ride!

Review - One-Eyed Dukes are Wild (Dukes Behaving Badly #3) by Megan Frampton

One-Eyed Dukes are Wild - Megan Frampton
The series continues with another entertaining love story. The Duke of Lasham is unlike any other duke I've read about. He has always done the right thing, has no idea how to have fun, and is a bit awkward at times. Margaret caused a bit of scandal when she refused to marry the man her parents had arranged for her. This has given her a certain amount of freedom to live on her own and skirt the edge of propriety. Their relationship builds slowly as they spend more time together - Lasham helping Margaret with her special project and Margaret helping him add some adventure to his otherwise boring life. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next.

Review - How to Lose a Bachelor by Anna Banks

How to Lose a Bachelor - Anna Banks
I loved it - It was a cute and funny second chance romance! The reality show both hindered and helped them in their journey towards happily ever after and it definitely provided funny moments. I loved the moments they were able to spend alone and talk about their past. It's the first book I've read by this author, but I'm looking forward to reading more!

Review - Hunter Deceived (Wild Hunt #1) by Nancy Corrigan

Hunter Deceived - Nancy Corrigan
Great beginning to a new paranormal romance series! There's a little bit of everything - mythological and magical creatures, action, romance, sacrifice and heartbreak.  There is a lot going on, but it is not at all confusing. The end came way too quickly and it left me desperately waiting for the next book! The Huntsmen, one of which is a woman, are pretty bad ass and deserve happiness after everything they've had to endure. I recommend reading the prequel novella, Hunter Sacrificed to better understand how the Wild Hunt came to be and how it impacts Calan and Harley.

Review - Game Winner (New York Kings #6) by Collette West

Game Winner (New York Kings) - Collette West
Opposites definitely attract in the newest book in the NY Kings series. Jake and Scarlett are about as different as two people can be, except for their love of music. Jake's image is squeaky clean, while Scarlett puts is all out there with her music. But all is not as it seems as Jake deals with guilt over events from his past and Scarlett tries to break free from the image her record label has created. Their connection - both emotionally and physically - is amazing and had me rooting for them to figure out how to have all they both deserve. As a fan of baseball, I love that the game is an important part of the story and not just a backdrop. I've loved this series so far and I hope their are more books to come!

Review - The Idea of You (Ribbon Ridge #4) by Darcy Burke

The Idea of You: Ribbon Ridge Book Four - Darcy Burke

I loved Evan's story! He and Alaina lead completely different lives, but surprisingly have a lot of things in common. While Alaina's life is constantly in the spotlight, Evan's condition prevents him from being able to be in large crowds. His struggles while trying to adjust to the changes Alaina brings to his life make their story have a more realistic feel for me. And while he was socially awkward, that wasn't the case in the bedroom! Alaina was a great match for Evan and I really loved the fact that she really tried to understand Evan and all his quirks. You don't typically read a romance where the hero falls in the Autism spectrum, but that made this story that much more special to me. Everyone deserves a happily ever after - even those who are different from what is considered normal. I look forward to seeing them pop up in future books from this series.

Review - The Match of the Century (Marrying the Duke #1) by Cathy Maxwell

The Match of the Century: Marrying the Duke - Cathy Maxwell

I felt bad for Ben almost from the start. It was hard for him to watch the woman he loved getting ready to marry his brother. But fate had other plans for them and brings them together when Elin's life is in danger. When the truth of their past comes out, neither can deny their feelings for each other. I didn't feel much for Gavin until almost the end when we get a glimpse of the man behind the title. The sneak peek into the next book had me wondering if he will finally get his happily ever after, or if he will have to step aside again. Can't wait to find out!

Review - Wild Boys: Logan by Melissa Foster

Wild Boys After Dark: Logan - Melissa Foster

Awesome beginning to a new series! While this is hotter than other Melissa Foster books, it still has plenty of emotion and characters that pull you in and don't let go and has a great balance between romance and suspense. Stella is running for her life and the last thing she needs is to get involved with a man, especially a PI. But when Logan stops an assault on Stella, she feel safe for the first time in a long time. Logan is dealing with his own demons and guilt surrounding the the man who killed his father and left his mother blind. His protective instinct kicks in with Stella and he does everything in his power to make sure that she can stop running. As Logan helps Stella break free from her past, Stella helps Logan deal with his guilt. What starts out as chemistry between them turns into love. The other three Wild Brothers are introduced and I can't wait for their stories!

Review - Steal Me (New York's Finest #2) by Lauren Layne

Steal Me (New York's Finest) - Lauren Layne

Another slow burner with plenty of sexual tension between Anthony and Maggie. Perfect those who like their heroes broody. They both had some personal issues to deal with, and they each helped the other work through them. Love the Moretti family and I am counting the days for Vincent and Jill's story!

Review - Sinful (Undone #2) by Jennifer Dawson

Sinful (Undone Book 2) - Jennifer Dawson
Hot, hot, hot! Leo and Jillian are the classic best friend's little sister couple, but with a BDSM twist. Just like in the first book of the series, the hero is a dominant, but I like that in this series it doesn't involve scenes or the usual props. Jillian was not aware of this side of Leo, but once she discovers it and he agrees to teach her the ropes, she realizes that she loves it. Along with the really hot sex, they also have a strong emotional connection. Leo does have to fight some personal demons along the way to their HEA, which adds some tension to story.
