Another great addition to the Lonesome Point series. Layla's life has been hell for the last ten years.  Although I can't even begin to imagine being in her situation, Ms. Evans does a wonderful job bringing us into her world. When she finally realizes that she must leave her husband in order to survive, she never planned on meeting up with her childhood friend, Cole.  Cole has never gotten over his crush for Layla, and now that he has a chance at a future with her, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.  There is a lot of heartbreak and unexpected tragedy in this story.  There are also some very tender and sexy moments.  Bubba, a character in a previous storty, is one of my favorite heroes, and his brother Cole did not disappoint in the least.  

 

This is an amazing series, and while this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend you read all the books - you will not be disappointed.
