Review - Dirty Sexy Saint (Dirty Sexy #1) by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

Dirty Sexy Saint (Dirty Sexy Series Book 1) - Erika Wilde, Carly Phillips
Love it! Dirty Sexy Saint is the perfect name for the book since it completely describes Clay. He is no saint when it comes to sex, as a matter of fact he is quite dirty! However, he is practically a saint the way he helps people, sometimes without them knowing he was involved. In Samantha's case he helps her out when she shows up at his bar and gets drunk. The sexual attraction between them is instant and the tension between them builds up until it explodes. Samantha may have been extremely wealthy, but she doesn't shy away from hard work as she tries to be independent. Their physical relationship starts fairly quickly, but their emotional one builds every time they are together. I loved this light, sexy read and can't wait for the next book! Mason is next and I can't wait for him to realize what's been in front of him all along.

His Kind of Cowgirl by Karen Rock

His Kind of Cowgirl - Karen Rock
Claire's heart has been broken more than once, and that has made her extremely cautious, especially when it comes to her son. With her family's ranch and her father's health on the line, she wants to take the easy way out and sell. Tanner left town to pursue his rodeo dreams thinking that success would make Claire want to accept his career, but instead it kept them apart for 10 years. Now he's back in town to help her father keep the ranch and help secure a future for himself, but once he sees Claire again, his plans start to change. I loved the way he instantly bonds with Jonathan, Claire's son, even though he doesn't know that he is his son as well. Tanner knows he wants a second chance with the only woman he's ever loved, but Claire does not make it easy for him. She is constantly putting barriers up, both with his plans for the ranch and for their relationship. Sweet and emotional second chance romance, I enjoyed it from start to finish, with the exception of Claire's constant worrying/complaining.

Fighting Dirty by Lori Foster

Fighting Dirty (An Ultimate Novel) - Lori Foster
I've been waiting for Armie and Merissa's story for quite some time and their love story did not disappoint! Armie is convinced that he does not deserve Merissa, even though he's loved her for years. Instead, he hides behind his manwhore ways and is know for his very hedonistic lifestyle. Merissa has loved Armie since she was a teenager, and when she finally gets a chance with him, she gives it her all to make it work. I loved that they were open with each other and didn't keep secrets. That's not to say that they did not have their problems, but they talked through them. My only complaint, and the reason this was not a 5-star read for me, is that considering Armie's sexual experience I was expecting it to be really hot, but it never got there. I've loved this series and I'm sad to see it end, but I hear there is a spin-off series that starts off with Leese's story.

Seaside Embrace by Melissa Foster

Seaside Embrace (Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers) - Melissa Foster
Loved it, loved it, loved it! Hunter is such a sweetheart and extremely patient with Jana. He may have been a player, but once he hooked up with her, he never once wanted another woman. I loved the way he understood and accepted Jana's needs and never gave up on her. Jana has commitment issues that prevent her from fully accepting a relationship with Hunter. She knows they are great in bed, but is afraid of getting emotionally involved, but Hunter's softer side gets to her. There are some funny scenes with the girls from Seaside as well as some hot scenes between Hunter and Jana. Another great story in the Seaside series!

Review - Kiss Me in Christmas (Christmas, Colorado #6) by Debbie Mason

Kiss Me in Christmas (Christmas, Colorado) - Debbie Mason
I laughed, cried and loved every page of the book! Chloe is misunderstood by the people in Christmas, including her family.  There were some times that I felt so bad for her because of the way they treated her. Easton realizes that underneath the diva attitude Chloe is still the sweet and caring girl he once knew. Unfortunately, things tend to go wrong whenever she tries to do something good which leads to both funny and emotional moments. I've enjoyed this series, but I think this might be my favorite. Of course, we have Jill and Sawyer's story next, and based on the preview at the end of this book, it looks like it will be just as entertaining.

No Exit (EXIT Inc #2) by Lena Diaz

No Exit - Lena Diaz
The second book in the series continues where book one ended with Jace looking for a way in to EXIT to help take it down. Unfortunately, the only way is through their enemies daughter. They are sure of Melissa's knowledge of or involvement in EXIT's enforcement arm, but after months of surveillance, Jace can't believe that she even knows about her father's secret activities. Melissa may have been ignorant of her father's activities, but in the recent months she had some suspicions and began to investigate on her own. Jace's boss doesn't think that Melissa can be trusted and cuts off communication with him. As they work together to get to the truth and stop EXIT, they face danger from not only her father, but a traitor who is out for personal revenge. This was a fast-paced suspense that kept me glued to the pages wondering what was going to happen next and where the Equalizers go from here.

Wild at Heart (Healing Harts #4) by TJ Kline

Unti Healing Harts #4 - T. J. Kline
I loved Bailey and Chase's story!  It seemed like everyone in town knew they belonged together except for the two of them. Of course, with both of them being stubborn and convinced they were not what the other person needed, they've spent years avoiding their feelings for each other. Bailey feels like she doesn't fit in with the rest of the Harts, and thinks the only way to be who she is without having people gossip about her is to pursue a singing career in LA. Chase lives with guilt over his partner's death and doesn't think he can give Bailey all she needs emotionally. Chase knows he should let Bailey go, but he works on trying to convince her to stay. Instead of giving her reasons to stay, he seems to push her further away. There is not doubt about their feelings for each other even as they seem to grow further apart. Sweet, sexy and emotional romance and a great add to the series. I loved the first two books of the series, wasn't as crazy about third book, but this one is right up there as a favorite. Can't wait to read Gage's story and I'm really curious about what Blake is hiding!

Hunter Fosaken (Wild Hunt #2) by Nancy Corrigan

Hunter Forsaken (Wild Hunt) - Nancy Corrigan
We first met Ian and Tegan in Hunter Sacrificed, where Ian is having doubts about getting married while having dreams about another woman who happens to be Tegan. Neither knows that the other is not just a figment of their imagination. When Ian is forced to kill his fiance and sees his sister Harley sacrifice herself, he gives into the rage of the Hunt. Tegan is the only one who can reach him, but is afraid to risk her feelings again after she was betrayed by the man she loved. Their desire and love cannot be denied, and they give into their attraction. Tegan will need to work through her trust issues in order to succeed in solving the challenge set by the triad and to save her mate. I loved the way Ian worked to gain Tegan's trust and her love, no matter what obstacles and objections he encountered. Secrets are revealed about some key players and I can't wait to see how the storyline continues!

Taking the Score by Kate Meader

Taking the Score (Tall, Dark, and Texan) - Kate Meader
Brody and Emma know how to bring burn up the pages of a book! Emma is the opposite of what Brody usually looks for in a woman. But even with her ugly second hand suits and frumpy looks, he constantly fantasizes about his PA. Emma used to be a wild child who has tried to leave the past behind and start a new life. Unfortunately, she is stuck trying to pay her little sisters debt working as a cocktail waitress in a strip bar. An evening out with a client brings Brody face to face with Emma working her first night as a lap dancer. Brody is shocked to see her there, but feels the need to find out why she's working there and to protect her. This leads to some pretty hot sex between the pair and what starts out as a temporary arrangement soon turns into something that can be forever. I fell for Brody almost from the beginning and loved the way he took care of both Emma and her not so lovable cat, Kevin. Brody's sister is a character and I hope to see her in the next book along with his friend and business partner Flynn. I missed the first book of the series, but will definitely be picking it up.

Unraveled (Undone #2.5) by Jennifer Dawson

Unraveled (Undone) - Jennifer Dawson
I loved the update on Layla, Michael, Jillian and Leo, the couples from the first two books as well as the preview to Ruby and Chad. Just like with the first two books, the sex scenes are HOT!!! But there is also love that I could practically feel. Ruby is Layla's best friend as even though she says she is not interested in the lifestyle, seems to be really curious about it. Chad may look the clean cut boy next door, but he is just as dominant as Michael and Leo. Unfortunately for Ruby, she doesn't realize it until they are in a sex club and Chad is sees straight through her act. I loved this novella and am eagerly awaiting Ruby and Chad's book! I highly recommend reading the first two books before reading this novella.

Review - The Bride Wore Starlight by Lizbeth Selvig

The Bride Wore Starlight: A Seven Brides for Seven Cowboys Novel - Lizbeth Selvig
Joely's accident crushed her leg and left her scarred both inside and out. She is stuck in a rut and not really moving forward the way she should. Alec knows what it's like to be in her position and makes it his mission to help her heal. However, Alec has his own demons to deal with but doesn't let it show. Alec helped Joely overcome a lot of her physical limitations, but I loved the way they both helped each other heal on the inside. As the heal, you can see their friendship develop into attraction and love. This was not your typical romance, but I loved the story and found it to be heartfelt and inspirational.

Review - Earning a Ring (More than a Game #4) by Kristina Mathews

Earning a Ring - Kristina Mathews
The story is good, but the amount of inner dialogue from the characters was a bit much. I would have much preferred to have them talk to each other, or at least other people, about the way they were feeling. Bryce is actually a good guy, but clueless when it came to dealing with Rachel most of the time. Luckily he gets his act together and figures out what he needs to do for his family. I love the way Rachel is into baseball, since it is my favorite sport. I only wish she would have been more open with Bryce as well. Their chemistry is good, but this book was lighter on the sexiness. Overall a good read, looking forward to the next book in the series, there are plenty more Goliaths that need to find their HEA.

Betting on the Wrong Brother by Cathryn Fox

Betting on the Wrong Brother (What Happens in Vegas) - Cathryn Fox
A case of mistaken identity that leads to a happily ever after neither one expected. Ryan doesn't believe in love because the of the bad examples his family has shown him. Randi doesn't think that she'll ever get married because no one will like who she really is inside after her teenage crush, Nolan, broke her heart. She has a different persona she puts out for the world. So when she thinks he's the guy from the elevator who doesn't recognize her and is lying about his identity, she takes the opportunity to pay him back. Unfortunately her plan backfires and she finds herself actually enjoying his company. Ryan is actually Nolan's brother, and once he figures out what's going on, he's torn between telling Andi the truth or continuing with the fantasy. This was a very fun, flirty and sexy read - I loved it from beginning to end.

Review - Reckless (Rescue Squad #1) by Kimberly Kincaid

Reckless - Kimberly Kincaid
Fun and sexy, I was hooked from beginning to end! Alex and Zoe are opposites when it comes to taking risks and living life to its fullest. She sees as Alex as reckless, but she learns that he has a very good reason for living the way he does. The only thing she can't get over is the risk he takes every time he's at work as a firefighter. Zoe is all about making plans and being careful. Alex helps her break free of her mold a bit and shows her that being reckless every once in a while is actually a good thing. They had really good chemistry and you could see the feelings growing as they found their way as a couple. The firehouse crew were great supporting characters and I'm sure will have equally good stories. Another great read from Kimberly Kincaid!

Review - My American Duchess by Eloisa James

My American Duchess - Eloisa James
Trent and Merry seemed like the perfect match from the moment they met. Of course, she was engaged to his twin brother Cedric at the time, but neither knew each other's identity. As Merry moves forward with wedding plans, she discovers that she is not really in love with Cedric. With two broken engagements behind her, she does not want to end engagement to Cedric, but she cannot also get married to a man that she does not love and is not the man she thought he was. Trent tried to stay away from Merry, but he cannot help but want her for himself. I don't want to spoil anything, but things get complicated and Trent and Merry get a chance to explore their feelings. What starts out as a friendship between them ends up being more than either of them bargained for. I loved this couple and the progress of their relationship. There was a bit of humor and heartbreak that had me glued to my e-reader from the moment I started. Cedric was a bit hateful, but by the end I was hoping that he will get him own story. Highly recommended to historical romance lovers.

Review - The Knave of Hearts (Rhymes With Love #5) by Elizabeth Boyle

The Knave of Hearts - Elizabeth Boyle
I loved Tuck and Lavinia! One of my favorite things was the way she wasn't able to dance with anyone but him. Lavinia is all about being proper, but what she feels for Tuck is not proper at all. Tuck is the opposite of what Lavinia wants, but there is more to him that his reputation. There were times when the roles were reversed with these two and Tuck was the one lecturing about propriety. I found them to be perfect for each other as they accepted each other for who they truly are.
